The second season of Karnataka Chalanachitra Cup, popular as KCC, brought together the entire Kannada film industry along with national and internationally-famed cricket players. Curtains were drawn on September 9 and Bengaluru witnessed the two-day grand matches where Wodeyar Charges captained by actor Ganesh won the cup.

The last match between Wodeyar Chargers and Yash's Rashtrakuta Panthers kept everyone on their toes as the Wodeyar's won the match in the last ball with Ritesh Bhatkal striking a six.

 

Teams and captains

Wodeyar Chargers helmed by Ganesh, Kadamba Lions captained by Kichcha Sudeep, Rashtrakuta Panthers led by Yash, Vijayanagara Patriots captain Shivaraj Kumar, Hoyasala Eagles led by Upendra and Ganga Warriors helmed by Puneeth Rajkumar.

Man of the Match and Man of the series was bagged by Tillakaratne Dilshan  of the Wodeyar Chargers team. He was honoured with Man of the Match as he scored 68 in the final match and got 3 wickets. He won the series too for amassing 122 runs off three matches.

Stalin Hoover, Indian cricketer from Karnataka, representing Rashtrakuta Panthers won the Best B Batsman and Maximum Sixes award with eight sixes to his credit.

Abhishek B of Vijayanagar Patriots team won the Best Bowler award.

Captain of the Season Award was bagged by Shivarajkumar, who led the Vijayanagar Patriots team.

Maximum Wickets Award was given to Preetam Gubbi of Rashtrakuta Panthers team as he successfully bagged 5 wickets.

The Jagath Khiladi Award was won by Ganesh, captain of Wodeyar Chargers team on the first day and CM Gautham of the same team on the second day.
