Drunken youth forcibly kisses Nagaland girl on street mother brings culprit to police station

In another incident of sexual harassment to girls on the streets in the City, a man forcibly kissed a 16-year-old girl from Nagaland. The miscreant stopped the girl on Vasanthnagar 8th main road at around 7.30 pm, forcibly hugged and kissed her. His mother a vegetable vendor brought him to the station and made him to surrender, reports Kannada Prabha.

A woman runs a Paying Guest accommodation for girls at Vasanthnagar. The victim was a relative of the PG hostel’s owner’s wife. She was out to buy vegetables. Meanwhile, the accused, a 21-year-old drunkard went to the PG and started creating trouble. The security guard told him to go away. At that time the culprit had seen the girl going and followed her. On her return, he suddenly stopped and hugged and kissed her. She screamed and people gathered. But the culprit managed to escape. The girl came with the hostel owner and lodged a complaint.

The police checked the CCTV footage in the area and identified the culprit.  Further inquiry revealed that he was the son of a vegetable vendor and the police inquired about him. The mother on learning about his deed, dragged him to the station. He has confessed to his crime. 

It is reported that the culprit was involved in several petty crimes and he was jailed some time ago after he was involved in a stabbing incident. He was released recently on bail. His mother was fed up of him and had shifted to Kolar but visited Vasanthnagar house, occasionally. The accused has passed SSLC and is fluent in English.
