Contempt plea against Congress social media in charge Ramya at Supreme Court

An application seeking initiation of contempt proceedings on Congress' Social Media chief Ramya/Divya Spandana was filed for defamatory statements against CJI Dipak Misra.

Petitioner Arun Kumar alleged that Ramya's statements and tweets were against the judiciary and were issued after Rajya Sabha Chairperson M Venkaiah Naidu rejected the motion of opposition parties led by the Congress to impeach the Chief Justice of India, Dipak Misra.
