Anil Kumble wife files cheating case against Bengaluru man Mumbai company

Mumbai-based watch company Time Keepers has misused former Indian cricketer and head coach Anil Kumble's wife Chetna's PAN card details, to sell a watch worth Rs 32.96 lakh. Chetna has filed a complaint with the Cubbon Park police station in this regard.

It all started with Chetna's interest in buying a Franck Muller brand watch. She had visited the Zimson watch store at UB City. She was attended to by the staff Satya Vageeshwaran, who had told her that they did not have the watch from that brand.

Vageeshwaran then told Chetna that Time Keepers in Mumbai has it and he would get the watch from there. Chetna agreed for the same and Vageeshwaran brought the watch and informed Chetna.

She brought the watch from the store for Rs 8 lakh through cheque, and in the process had given the details of her PAN card.

But when form 26 was inspected by an auditor, it was found that two watches costing Rs 32.96 lakh were bought using Chetna's PAN. The Mumbai-based watch company had even collected Rs 32,956 as TDS.

When this issue came to light, Chetna filed a complaint against the Mumbai-based company and Vageeshwaran. A case under IPC 406 and 420 has been filed against the accused at the Cubbon Park police station.
