After bribe complaint, now, Jayanagar candidate Ravi Krishna Reddy suspects 8,000 bogus voters
The sudden surge of 8,000 plus votes in Jayanagar assembly wards in just two years resulted in doubt about free and fair election
Even before the dust about bribing voters could settle in Jayanagar, there is another issue that is being raised by independent candidate Ravi Krishna Reddy. He alleged that 8,000 and more bogus voters are enrolled in Guruppanpalaya ward that can boost the polling percentage. However, these voters will help only those candidate who offers them a bribe. He alleged that, in 2015 municipal election, the ward which comprises the majority of Muslim population had only 36,000 voters and now there is a drastic increase by 8,000 voters. The suspicion is that fake voters from BTM Layout and Chikpet assembly may have been enrolled.
