Hours after swearing in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka for the third time, Yeddyurappa held a press meet to thank the people of Karnataka. He said that BJP has been chosen by the people of Karnataka. he also said the farmers and weavers loans up to Rs 1 lakh would be waived off and also spoke about majority and Cabinet formation.

 

CM Yeddyurappa said that talks regarding loan waiver have been held with the Chief Secretary.

When asked about the majority, Yeddyurappa said that BJP is 100% confident of proving the majority. But he refused to spill any beans on this as the matter is in the Supreme Court.

He also told that Cabinet formation would be a grand affair with nearly 4 lakh people attending the programme and leaders from other states to grace the occasion.

The first thing he did after resuming office is too sign the documents to push the file of loan waiver and declared that he would fulfil all the promises in the manifesto.

In his speech, Yeddyurappa said that a decision on loan waiver will be taken in two days. he said that the alliance between JD(S) and Congress is unholy and that they have to stop doing this as their aim is just to stop BJP from coming into power.

About majority, he said that he will ask for the support of all 224 MLAs and hope that MLAs will not disappoint him and vote according to their conscience.
