In an exclusive interview to Asianet Newsable, Karnataka BJP MP Nalin Kumar Kateel who had accused Siddaramaiah as a terrorist and Sulthan Siddaramaiah has now accused Congress of being responsible for the murders of Hindus. He said "Congress' stand is clear. SDPI's president is in jail in connection with Sharath Madivala's murder. SDPI is also involved in other murders. It is clear that Congress is behind all these murders. 

"Congress and SDPI were against each a till recently. They have come to a secret agreement and are leaning in the same direction now", Kateel added. 
On the election front, Kateel who is the MP from Dakshina Kannada, has expressed immense confidence in BJP's win in Mangaluru in the upcoming elections. He cited "BJP's influence has increased in coastal Karnataka, especially in Mangaluru. Everything appears to be in favour of the party"
When questioned about BJP's controversial election campaign in Bhatkal, on communal lines, the BJP MP replied saying, "We campaign on the basis of development and PM Modi's work rather than emotions. However, we will also tell people how Congress is behind Love Jihad, Cow slaughter and murder of Hindu youth" 
Also, PM Modi's ongoing rally in the state seems to have increased the morale of the party workers in the state. In an exclusive chat with Asianet Newsable, he said, " Our vote share will increase because there is a separate set of voters who are pro-Modi.
Refuting the rumours, Kateel also said that Yeddyurappa is respected a lot inside the party and even people like him and that is why he is the Chief Minister candidate of the BJP.
