BMRCL will suspend Metro services between Halasuru and Trinity on the Purple Line from 7 AM to 9 AM on Sunday, June 22, for maintenance. Commuters are advised to plan ahead. Other Metro routes will operate as scheduled.

Bengaluru: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will carry out scheduled maintenance work between Halasuru and Trinity Metro stations on the Purple Line on Sunday, June 22, 2025. As a result, Metro services between MG Road and Baiyappanahalli will be temporarily suspended.

Temporary disruption on Purple Line 

BMRCL has officially announced a temporary service disruption on parts of the Purple Line, a key component of Bengaluru’s public transport system. The Metro service between Halasuru and Trinity stations on the MG Road–Baiyappanahalli section will be suspended from 7:00am to 9:00am on Sunday, June 22.

Other Metro services to remain unaffected 

This temporary disruption is limited to a specific section of the Purple Line. All other Metro services will run as per schedule, including:

  • Challaghatta – M.G. Road (Purple Line)
  • Baiyappanahalli – Whitefield (Kadugodi) (Purple Line)
  • Reshme Sanste Road – Madavar (Green Line)

There will be no changes to the above routes during the maintenance period.

BMRCL requests passenger cooperation 

BMRCL has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and has urged commuters to plan their travel accordingly. The organisation thanked passengers for their understanding and cooperation and encouraged them to visit the official BMRCL website or social media pages for real-time updates and information.

Note: The suspension will last only for two hours. BMRCL has appealed to metro users for patience and support to ensure the safe and successful completion of the scheduled maintenance work.
