A shocking incident took place in Domjur, Howrah. A diagnostic centre was locked by locals for allegedly providing a wrong report to a pregnant woman. Complaints have been lodged with the police and district chief health officers.

A shocking incident took place in Domjur, Howrah. A diagnostic centre was locked by locals for allegedly providing a wrong report to a pregnant woman. Complaints have been lodged with the police station and district chief health officers.

It is known that Muki Mandal is a resident of Ankurhati Uttarpara area of Domjur. His wife is pregnant. Muki’s wife underwent an ultrasonography from a diagnostic centre in the area on September 23. But after receiving the report, the couple broke down emotionally.

According to the report, Nafisa's foetus had been destroyed due to a tumour in the ovary. The woman was depressed after receiving the report. Watching his wife’s distress, Muki Mandal took his wife to a diagnostic centre in Kolkata. There Muki underwent the test again. After the report arrived, the couple was shocked.

According to the report from the Diagnostic Centre in Kolkata, Muki’s wife was completely healthy, and even her unborn child is well. Muki Mandal burst out in anger and went to the Domjur Diagnostic Centre with the previous test report. At the time, the diagnostic centre admitted that the report was mistakenly mixed up.

As news of the mix-up spread, many people gathered at the spot in protest. Eventually, the protesters locked the diagnostic centre. Muki Mandal has lodged a written complaint with Domjur Police and even with the chief health officer of Howrah district.
