Wedding gifts, especially given by our parents, are memorable and close to our hearts. In some cultures, the celebration goes on for a month and in some, for a year. The newlyweds are showered with jewellery, clothes, artefacts, photo frames, money, and much more. The list is endless. 

Talking about the same, a prominent businessman, Battula Balarama Krishna, from Andhra Pradesh's Rajahmundry, has hit the headlines for sparing no expense while gifting his newlywed daughter during Ashadha Masam (the holy month in Telugu tradition).

Battula's daughter Pratyusha recently married Pawan Kumar, son of a prominent businessman from Puducherry's Yanam. As the newlywed couple celebrated their first Ashadha Masam, Battula decided to shower the couple with special gifts and make the occasion more special. He had sent 1000 kg fish, 1000 kg vegetables, 250 kg prawns, 250 kg grocery items, 250 jars of pickles,250 kg sweets, 50 chicken and ten goats, India Today reported. 

The delivery of truckload items left everyone stunned and surprised to see the gifts sent by the bride's father. This kind of news had to spread like wildfire, and it surely did.

The holy month of Ashadha is very important and significant for all newlywed couples and especially for the brides. As per the Telugu traditions, the bride applies Mehendi on her hands, and it is believed that the colour of the henna showcases the amount of love she would receive from her husband.
