Border Security Force (BSF) foils major infiltration bid along International Border in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district.

Security measures have been intensified in the vicinity of Delhi's India Gate following Pakistan’s unsuccessful endeavours to target sites on the western border.

Pakistan army chief General Asim Munir has been reportedly removed from his post and arrested under dramatic circumstances, according to reports. General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the current Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, is claimed to have taken over the reins of the Pakistan Army.

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir): Former Jammu and Kashmir DGP SP Vaid has said that there were "around 50-60 air attacks" over Jammu, Udhampur, Rajouri, Pathankot, Samba, and Akhnoor by Pakistan on Thursday evening and these were neutralised by India's impregnable air defence system.

Social media platform X announced that it has blocked over 8,000 accounts in India in response to executive orders issued by the Indian government. The company stated that the orders came with the threat of severe penalties, including substantial fines and possible imprisonment of its employees based in India. "To comply, we are restricting access to the specified accounts within India only, and have initiated that process," X said via its global government affairs account.

Punjab government on Thursday night ordered closure of educational institutions in the state for the next three days.

In a post on microblogging site X, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said, "In view of the evolving situation, it is hereby ordered that all schools, colleges and universities -- government, private and aided -- across entire Punjab shall remain completely closed for the next three days."

All passengers at all airports will undergo Secondary Ladder Point Check (SLPC). Visitor entry to terminal buildings has been banned.
