Operation Clean Up: Army launches massive anti-militant operation to flush out terrorists in Kashmir
- Army, police and CRPF conducted search operation in Srinagar
- Security forces carried out door-to-door searches
- A practice that stopped has been reintroduced
- These search ops are said to be one of the biggest in more than a decade
The paramilitary forces have launched a massive anti-terror operation in Shopian district south of Srinagar.
Since May 4, the army is conducting door-to-door search -a practice that stopped in the late 1990s - but now has been reintroduced. Security forces comprising army, police and CRPF personnel have conducted searches in a dozen village in Shopian district as part of the 'Operation Clean Up.' Helicopters and drones also are assisting in the operation.
