The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday released a confession video of the arrested Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Bahadur Ali, who revealed that he trained by the Pakistani forces.

Bahadur Ali crossed into Indian side between June 11 and 12 along with two LeT cadres. He was, however, nabbed from North Kashmir on July 25 forces based on the inputs by locals.

Ali was found carrying an AK 47, grenades and a grenade launcher. Security forces also found several communication devices with the LeT militant.

In the confession video, Ali said that he was born in Lahore, the capital city of the province of Punjab, the second-largest metropolitan area in Pakistan. He said he was first recruited by the Jamaat-ud-Dawa. Subsequently, the LeT radicalised him.

In the press conference,  NIA IG Sanjeev Kumar said that Bahadur Ali underwent all three training processes organised by LeT. Kumar said that Ali told them there were 30-50 trainees at training camps of LeT from different parts of the countries including Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Kumar added that Bahadur Ali was regularly guided by a control room for terrorist groups in PoK with help of Pakistani forces.

Earlier on Tuesday, India summoned the Pakistan high commissioner, Abdul Basit to South Block, where foreign secretary, S Jaishankar issued a demarche that gave details of the LeT terrorist caught by Indian security forces.

"India strongly protests against the continued infiltration from Pakistan of trained terrorists with instructions to carry out attacks," he said, according to an MEA statement.
