The newly-built Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) has invited the ex-PM to deliver a lecture to its first batch of students. There will be 50 students in each batch and the entrance exams for the same will be held on July 30. The academic year is scheduled to start on August 23.
The Karnataka State Government is planning to invite economics scholar and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to teach the first batch of students in the newly-open Dr B R Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) to mark the beginning of the academic year.
According to inside sources, Higher Education minister Basavaraj Rayareddy has sought the appointment of Singh and is awaiting his response on the same. BASE has been proposed to be developed as an institution of excellence with global standards and is coming up on a 50-acre plot on Bangalore University Campus.
The first batch of the BSc (Economics) Honours will have 50 students and the entrance examination for the course will be held on July 30. The academic year is scheduled to start on August 23.
