Coronavirus: Second coronavirus suspected death reported in Karnataka

A 70-year-old woman suspected to have contracted coronavirus from Karnataka's Gouribidanuru has passed away. With this Karnataka will have two deaths reported.

The woman, who was under home quarantine for the last one week died at Rajiv Gandhi Hospital for Chest Diseases. She also had a travel history to Mecca.

According to reports, over the last week,  three cases of COVID-19 had been reported in Gouribidanuru in Chikkaballpura district. Most of the suspects and confirmed cases had returned from Mecca pilgrimage.

India's first coronavirus death from Karnataka:
The samples of Mohammed Hussein Siddiqui, a religious leader from Kalaburagi who died of lung complications, tested positive for coronavirus.

The total number of coronavirus cases in India climbed to 562 today. Maharashtra is the worst affected state in the country which has so far reported 116 cases, Kerala is the second-most affected state in the country with 109 cases so far.
