Following India's strikes on terror camps, Pakistan launched missiles targeting Jammu airfield and other areas. India's S-400 defense system intercepted the missiles, preventing damage.

A day after India hit terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, there was a significant escalation Thursday night when rockets from over the international border attacked many areas in Jammu, including the airfield. There were several reports of explosions around the city.

The Jammu civil airport, Samba, RS Pura, Arnia, and the adjacent localities were the targets of eight missiles fired from Pakistan, according to security authorities. The S-400 air defense system effectively intercepted all of them.

According to reports, the coordinated use of cutting-edge technologies allowed the drones to be safely destroyed in midair; no injuries or damage were reported.

There have been reports of firing by artillery in Kupwara, Udhampur, and the air base in Pathankot. They also attacked the surrounding regions.

The Indian defense systems responded quickly, neutralizing several of them and triggering air raid sirens that could be heard in Jammu Division's Akhnoor and Kishtwar, where a total blackout was also implemented.

What has happened till now?

After India successfully executed Operation Sindoor in which nine terror sites deep inside Pakistan were destroyed, the Pakistan brass earlier in the day attempted to engage a number of military targets. One of those was the Military installations in Amritsar, however, all the attempts were neutralised.

The military targets were engaged in Northern and Western India, including Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj, using drones and missiles.

Indian Air Force S-400 Sudarshan Chakra air defence missile systems were also fired last night against targets moving towards India. The targets were successfully neutralised in the operation, multiple domain experts told ANI.

The Indian Armed Forces attacked many Air Defense Radars and installations in Pakistan this morning. The Indian retaliation has been as intense as Pakistan's in the same area. An air defense system in Lahore has been neutralized, according to trustworthy sources.

The Indian military targeted enemy air defense installations in Pakistan with Harpy drones, which are meant to strike radar systems. Indian military drone activity has neutralized the Lahore Air Defense system.
