ED summons Bengal minister Firhad Hakim’s daughter in money laundering case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned West Bengal minister Firhad Hakim’s elder daughter alleging discrepancies in her bank account transactions.

The daughter of West Bengal minister and chief administrator of Kolkata municipality Firhad Hakim has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). According to sources, Priyadarshini Hakim, the eldest daughter of Firhad Hakim, has been accused of discrepancies in her bank account transactions.

According to the ED, Yasir Haider, the husband of Priyadarshini, has gone abroad more than once in the last few years. He has been accused of smuggling money abroad through a foreign actress. Therefore, the transactions in Priyadarshini's account in multiple banks are being monitored.

According to sources, ED investigators have summoned Priyadarshini this week. ED officials came to her house with a notice. 

In this regard, Firhad Hakim said, “I have not heard anything like that. I don't know anything about this. The ED officials are looking into how the money was smuggled through whom.”

Priyadarshini, who works in the social media department of CESC, has not yet commented publicly on the matter.
