- reacting to the letter, Samajwadi leader Ashu Malik has warned that any attempt to humiliate Mulayamji will not be tolerated
The private letter addressed to Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav alleges that his stepmother Sadhna is nurturing negative feelings about Akhilesh. The letter also mentioned Mulayam’s brother Shivpal Singh Yadav of being jealous of Akhilesh’s political growth.
The letter comes from the first-time Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Udayveer Singh. Though he stated that whatever written in the letter was his personal opinion, it drew flak from the party leaders.
In the letter, Udayveer had said that Mulayam should step down as party chief and gives the reigns in the hands of son Akhilesh.
The letter has irked the leaders as it said that he was also echoing the views of most of his colleagues.
Reacting to the letter, Samajwadi leader Ashu Malik has said that people having such false claims are not even worth 500 votes.
Malik said that the party would not tolerate indiscipline. "Any attempt to humiliate Mulayamji will not be tolerated," he said.
