FollowA nine-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by two neighbours in Rajasthan here; police said today.
Shahrukh and Ali Mohammad, residents of Nainwa town, were arrested after a FIR was lodged under relevant provisions of the POCSO Act and IPC against them.
The duo yesterday lured the girl on some false pretext and took her to an isolated building nearby where they took turns to rape her, Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Nainwa police station Munna Ali said.
The accused fled the spot, leaving behind the girl. The victim reached home and narrated the incident to her mother who informed the police.
The statement of the victim under section 164 CrPC has been recorded before a magistrate after her medical examination was conducted today.
The accused would be produced before a court tomorrow, the officer added.
