Indian indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, are expected to open on a positive note on Tuesday. This follows hopeful signals from global markets after US President Donald Trump announced that the US-Iran war is ending.

Trends from Gift Nifty also point to a positive start for Indian indices. It was trading near the 24,397 level, about 275 points higher than Nifty futures' previous close. On Monday, the Indian market had dropped sharply because of the escalating US-Iran war and a spike in crude oil prices. The Sensex closed at 77,566.16, down by 1,352.74 points (1.71%), while the Nifty 50 fell 422.40 points (1.73%) to 24,028.05.

NTPC Green Energy announced that its 250 MW solar project in Andhra Pradesh is now operational. Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power, a subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green, owns this project. Meanwhile, Akzo Nobel India has received a draft assessment order from the Income Tax department. The order proposes adding ₹111.63 crore to its income for the assessment year 2023-24.

Hinduja Global Solutions said its broadband subsidiary, ONEOTT Intertainment, has signed an MoU with the Uttar Pradesh State Transformation Commission. This is for 'Project Gang' to improve digital connectivity across UP. Separately, Torrent Power has issued and allotted 2 lakh non-convertible debentures (NCDs) worth ₹2,000 crore through a private placement.

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) will include six new stocks in its Futures and Options (F&O) segment from April 1, 2026. The new additions are Adani Power, Cochin Shipyard, Hyundai Motor India, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Nippon Life India Asset Management, and Vishal Mega Mart.

Power Grid Corporation of India has approved raising up to ₹5,000 crore. They will get this fund through an unsecured Rupee term loan from Union Bank of India. The company also approved a ₹234 crore investment to set up a Security Operation Centre for its substations.

Bajaj Finserv released its premium collection figures. Its arm, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, underwrote a gross direct premium of ₹1,094.04 crore in February 2026.
