Stock market indicates a mixed rally this week. Investors' fears have eased as Trump postponed trade tariffs internationally for 90 days. However, geopolitical developments may significantly impact India's China-dependent supply system.

The Nifty 50 index jumped over 539.80 points, or 2.36 per cent, to open at 23,368.35, while the BSE Sensex rallied 1,679.20 points, or 2.23 per cent, to start the day at 76,836.46.

Region-wise, the southern states dominate the Indian gold jewellery market, contributing about 40 per cent to the total demand in FY23. This is followed by the western region, which accounts for 25 per cent of the market. The average jewellery demand during weddings across India stands at around 225-250 grams.

US President Donald Trump addressed the challenges associated with his tariff policy, stating that there would be "transition problems".
