Skin care: DIY anti-ageing hand masks you should use

As salons are not always accessible these days for getting your regular manicure session, it is time to take matters into your own hands, literally! Here are three amazing DIY hand masks that will nourish and provide anti-ageing care so that your hands are well looked after at home.
 

Avocado Hand Mask: Avocados are rich in vitamin B a.k.a biotin, which helps soften dry skin and promote good nail health as well. Using this fruit in a hand mask along with ingredients like yoghurt, which contains lactic acid, honey, which is a natural humectant, and olive oil, which has essential nutrients, will allow you to richly hydrate and exfoliate your skin.
Ingredients: 1 pulp of avocado, 2 tsp yoghurt, 2 tbsp. honey, 1 tbsp, olive oil, Paper towel or latex gloves
Method: Blend all ingredients in a blending machine. Apply the mixture to your hands. Wrap your hands in a towel or wear latex gloves so that the mask can penetrate the skin well. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Unwrap and rinse your hands. Follow up with a nourishing hand cream.

Coconut Oil Hand Treatment: Coconut oil is a great anti-ageing ingredient which is loaded with antioxidants that can help to restore the skin’s natural pH levels and thoroughly moisturise skin.
Ingredients: 1 tbsp organic coconut oil, ½ tsp shea butter, Paper towels
Method: Mix both ingredients and apply the mixture on your hands and cuticles. Wrap each hand in a small towel. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Wipe off the excess oil. Apply a hand cream.

Carrot Mask: Carrots are rich in vitamin A, which is why this vegetable can treat and prevent wrinkles while speeding up the skin's collagen production.
Ingredients: 1 peeled carrot and 1 tsp. honey
Method: Boil a peeled carrot, and blend it to a paste. Add honey to the paste and apply it on your hands. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes. Rinse your hands with regular water. Moisturise with a hand cream.
