Monsoon has become active across Madhya Pradesh, and the Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall warning (up to 4.5 inches) for Ashoknagar, Damoh, Panna, Satna, Maihar, Rewa, and Mauganj between June 20 and 23. Strong winds, lightning, and waterlogging are expected in these districts.
Three Active Systems, Monsoon's Most Dangerous Phase
Meteorologist Dr. Divya E. Surendran stated that three major systems are currently active in the state:
- Low Pressure Area
- Cyclonic Circulation
- Trough Line
Due to these, heavy rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms are likely to continue across the state for the next 4 days.

- June 20: Heavy rain in Guna, Ashoknagar, Damoh, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj
Windy and moderate rainfall in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior
- June 21: Very heavy rainfall alert in Rewa, Sidhi
Heavy rain in Singrauli, Shahdol, Mauganj
- June 22: Heavy rain in Ashoknagar, Guna, Shivpuri
Rainfall with thunderstorms in other districts
- June 23: Heavy rain in Damoh, Katni, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Maihar
Light to moderate rain in Bhopal, Indore, and other districts
Temperature Drops Due to Rain
Rainfall was recorded in 16 districts on Thursday, with Ratlam leading (1.25 inches).
- Indore: Day 25.6°C | Night 24.3°C
- Ratlam: Day 26.2°C | Night 24.2°C
- Ujjain: Day 27.5°C | Night 25.5°C
The drop in temperature provided relief from the heat, but the increased humidity is causing discomfort.
