Lakshmir Bhandar is a social security scheme by the West Bengal government that provides financial aid to women in the state. It especially gives a monthly allowance to homemakers and economically weaker women. The government divides the beneficiaries into two categories.

Women from the General Category receive Rs 500 per month. Women from SC/ST (Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe) categories receive Rs 1000 per month.
