Coronavirus: Karnataka CM Yediyurappa meets Governor in a ‘cordial visit’
In a statement released from chief minister’s office, the meeting was just a part of “cordial visit”
Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday (July 22) met state Governor Vajubhai Vala.
According to a statement from the CM’s office, the interaction which took place at Raj Bhavan was part of a “cordial visit.”
CM Yediyurappa while addressing the people of the state on July 21 said that the ministers, MLAs, representatives, medical experts are risking their lives to help people stay safe and hence all COVID-19 measures should be strictly followed.
In just 20 days of July, the number of novel coronavirus cases and fatalities in Karnataka crossed 50,000 and 1,000, respectively, even as the pace of recovery dipped significantly.
77% of Karnataka’s total 67,420 cases — 52,178 — were reported in the first 20 days of July. Of them, 28,672 (55%) were from Bengaluru.
