People of Bengal will show 'Ram card' to Mamata Banerjee soon: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal on Sunday (February 7) and said that the people of the state will soon show the "Ram card" to the ruling TMC.
While addressing a rally in Haldia, PM Modi said, “Trinamool government in West Bengal is nothing but the rebirth of the erstwhile Left rule.”
“Trinamool has made many fouls, one after the other. The foul of misgovernance, attacks on opposition leaders, theft of money and many more. The people of Bengal are watching everything. They will soon show Trinamool the Ram card,” he added.
Taking a dig at Mamata, the Prime Minister said the TMC supremo gets angry when people chant 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' but not when conspiracies are hatched to defame India.
PM Modi also accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC), the Left and the Congress of getting into a “match-fixing” arrangement to defeat the BJP in the upcoming Bengal polls.
Modi accused the Bengal government for not implementing central schemes like Ayushman Bharat and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi in the state, and said that if the BJP comes to power it will execute all such stalled programmes at the very first cabinet meeting.
