Kolkata Police on Tuesday (February 23) arrested BJP leader Rakesh Singh from Galsi in Purba Burdwan district in connection with the Pamela Goswami drugs case.

<p>Earlier on Tuesday, Kolkata Police entered the residence of BJP leader Rakesh Singh. According to sources, the Kolkata Police had to wait outside Rakesh Singh's residence since the family insisted on seeing a search warrant before letting them inside.</p>

<p>Kolkata Police's Detective Department has also detained Rakesh Singh's two sons. Rakesh Singh was asked to appear before the department concerned to record his statement under Section 160 of the CrPC in connection with the Pamela Goswami drug case.</p>
