Former IPS officer Humayun Kabir joins TMC

Chandannagar Commissionerate Police Commissioner Humayun Kabir resigned from his post on February 1. After his resignation, there was speculation that he might join the TMC. His wife Anindita Das Kabir is a member of the Trinamool Congress.

He praised Mamata Banerjee and said, "I have seen with my own eyes the way Mamata Banerjee has been beside the people of Bengal during their good and bad times. The experience of working with her is extremely pleasurable. I am overwhelmed by her inspiration.”<br />&nbsp;</p>
