Central leadership of BJP to hold meeting with Bengal BJP leaders in Delhi today
The central leadership has summoned BJP state president Dilip Ghosh and all-India vice-president Mukul Roy to Delhi for an emergency meeting in the run-up to the state assembly elections.
According to BJP sources, state general secretary (organization) Amitabh Chakraborty has also been asked to attend the meeting. Mukul Roy reached Delhi on Thursday (January 14) evening on the instructions of the central leadership.
It is learned that Dilip Ghosh and Amitabh Chakraborty are leaving for Delhi on Friday (January 15) morning. According to sources, Bengal BJP's top brass will meet the central BJP leadership. This key meeting is slated to take place at 2 pm.
A party source said that the main agenda of the meeting will be to formulate a roadmap and more intricate strategies for the upcoming election. The discussions on upcoming tours of central leaderships in the state will also be held during this key meeting.
Dilip Ghosh went to Delhi on Monday (January 11) and returned on Tuesday (January 12) morning. Speculations have already started within the party as to why three important leaders of the state BJP, including Dilip Ghosh, were summoned to Delhi within a day. Experts say that Amit Shah forgot all the conflicts and instructed everyone to work together but it is still not happening in all cases.
While the BJP has chalked out a massive plan for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly polls which includes Home Minister Amit Shah visiting the state every month till the elections. Trinamool has already begun its outreach programme highlighting the welfare schemes of the Mamata Banerjee government.
