BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on Thursday (January 15) said that 41 MLAs in West Bengal who support the TMC are willing to join the BJP. He also said that the BJP will come into power in the 2021 assembly elections.
The BJP general secretary further said that the party will induct those people who have a good image in the society.
At a press conference, Vijayvargiya said, “I have a list of 41 MLAs who want to join the BJP. If I take these legislators in the BJP's fold, the Mamata government will fall. But we are looking at who should be admitted to the party and who should not be.”
Kailash Vijayvargiya alleged that the TMC government is creating violence in the state and infiltrators from the TMC are attacking BJP cadres.
"They feel that if the BJP comes to power in the state, then it will identify them and they will not be able to continue their illegal activities," Vijaywargiya said.
Earlier this month, BJP MP Arjun Singh had claimed that many members from TMC were willing to join the BJP.
