Baishali Dalmiya expelled from TMC
The Trinamool Congress on Wednesday (January 22) expelled MLA Baishali Dalmiya from the party after she criticized the party leadership following the resignation of state minister Rajib Banerjee.
The decision to expel Baishali Dalmiya was taken by the party’s disciplinary committee after a meeting on Friday. Baishali Dalmiya is the daughter of departed former cricket administrator Jagmohan Dalmiya.

The Bally legislator also claimed that there is no place for "honest and sincere people in the party".
Speaking about Rajib Banerjee’s resignation from Mamata Banerjee cabinet, Baishali Dalmiya said, “Rajib-da resigning as a minister is a big loss for the party and the people. Everyone has self-respect and no self-respecting person can tolerate insult.”
“There are some backstabbers and silent killers in the party who are forcing many of our ministers to resign from the cabinet,” she added.
Baishali Dalmiya accused the party leadership of the resignation of Rajib Banerjee.
