The country is crying with the increasing number of Covid cases, and we all are facing a bad phase. But for that, can we not celebrate a festival by preparing some mouth-savouring sweet dishes? Here are 5 traditional sweet items to plate this festival.
Faluda
Summer is here, along with the season of kulfis. Eid is just another occasion to enjoy it. All you need is milk and nuts, and you have to give time to refrigerate enough so that you can enjoy these nutty faludas. Serve it with rose syrup or mango syrup and enjoy.
Sheer Khurma
Sheer Khurma is one of the famous sweet dishes that is made of milk, vermicelli, dates, and nuts. Sheer Khurma in Persian means "milk with dates". Sevaiyan or vermicelli is one of the items that is very special for Eid. It is served after the first namaz (prayer) of the day on Eid.
Shahi Tukda
This is a very delicious yet very easy to make sweet dish. All you have to do is fry bread pieces in ghee and dip it in a milk mixture made of condensed milk, nuts and Kesar.
Phirni
Phirni is also known as kheer, and it is made of milk, grounded rice, raisins and nuts, rose water, Kesar. The only difference between payasam and phirni is that it uses ground rice instead of whole rice.
Baklava
Baklava is a Turkish dessert made of layers of filo pastry with nuts and pistachios along with greasy butter. These baked pastry puffs are dipped in sugar syrup to give the sweetness of the item. It takes a bit of time to make, but the taste and smell are worth waiting for.
