When Siddharth Mallya overlooked Deepika Padukone for Sonam Kapoor (Throwback)
While Siddharth Mallya and Deepika Padukone were dating each other, Siddarth, on one occasion chose Sonam Kapoor as the most stylish actress at an award function.
Fans hail Deepika Padukone as one of the popular divas of Bollywood. The actress has given powerful performances throughout her career. Over the years Deepika Padukone has rendered blockbusters like Goliyon Ki Raasleela- Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Chennai Express, Padmavat and Chappak. The actress started her career as a model and made a debut in Bollywood with Om Shanti Om starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
After her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor, as per reports, Deepika started dating Siddharth Mallya, son of Indian Businessman Vijay Mallya. Both Deepika and Siddharth were found together at various events. Deepika was also seen wearing Royal Challengers Bangalore jersey with her beau Siddharth. At that time RCB was owned by Vijay Mallya. Soon, the couple became the trending topic of Bollywood.
It is said that Deepika and Siddharth tried to keep their relationship low key, till they were seen locking lips during an IPL match. However, in 2011, at an award function, Siddharth was asked about the actress whose dressing sense is applaudable. Siddharth shared his opinion on the most stylish actress category and said, 'Most stylish actress! I think Sonam dresses pretty well, but they all doll up pretty well, but Sonam looks pretty good.' And while talking about his alleged girlfriend Deepika, he said that "She does not have a bad sense of style either."
Soon after this, Deepika and Siddharth's relationship came to a mysterious end. On the other end, Deepika's film career was back on track. In 2018, when Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's wedding was fixed, the actress shared the invitation card on her social media handles, to which ex-beau Siddharth Mallya reacted with a kiss emoji.
She is now happily married to one of the successful actors of Bollywood Ranveer Singh and the couple would be seen together soon in Kabir Khan's 83.
