When news of Katrina Kaif-John Abraham's affair came out: Here's how Salman Khan reacted to it

Bollywood actor John Abraham is one of the most talented actors in the film industry. It is said that he loves to stay out of the limelight and fancy life of the stars. However, he had his share of controversies; one of them is the cold war between Salman Khan.

In an interview with Rajeev Masand, John was asked to pick one name among Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan if they all were in a sinking ship and you have to save only one of them, who'd I pick? 

John took only 5 seconds and said, "I guess it would be Shah Rukh Khan. Because I love the personality, and if I were to direct, I would love to direct Shah Rukh." 

Salman and John's cold war started when the later's closeness with Katrina Kaif during the film New York started surfacing and numerous news coming on the pair. 

According to reports, during Katrina's struggling days, John refused to work with her as she couldn't fluently speak Hindi. Katrina lost out on the role in Saaya, which Tara Sharma later did. Katrina was so upset that she started crying.
 

That time Salman Khan said, "Why are you crying? He has done you a favour. A time will come when you would be able to throw him out of a film. Don't throw him, work with him."

Hence, Salman never liked John, and after a few years, his words came true as Katrina was roped in for Kabir Khan's New York with John Abraham. And their closeness during the shoot didn't go well with Salman. 

However, Katrina denied all the rumours and said, "John was a sweetheart, we enjoyed each other's company. There are some friendships that are carried on even after the film is completed."

In an old interview to Midday, Salman had said, "I had asked her to do the film (New York). I don't like him (John) too much. But I asked Katrina not to be influenced by my thinking. He had apparently removed her from a film a long time ago. She was not very comfortable. Right now she is in a position to kick him out. But I told her it is the director's film, she should do it."
