Rakhi Sawant on love-lapata with Abhinav Shukla: Rubina encouraged, wanted him to get rid of ‘boring’ tag

After coming out of the Bigg Boss 14 house, Rakhi Sawant opened up about her romantic angle with Rubina Dilaik's Abhinav Shukla.

Rakhi said that she began it only after getting a go-ahead from him and his wife.

Rakhi and Abhinav's love-lapata was one of the most discussed and talked topics in the house. Audiences loved their conversation and jokes but it took an ugly turn when she started crossing her lines.

Rakhi wrote 'I Love You Abhinav' all over her body and pulled his shorts' during a task, which made Rubina angry. Many slammed her for her actions, but others, including host Salman Khan, defending her actions as ‘entertainment’. 

In an interview, Rakhi said that her ‘love-lapata’ with Abhinav was encouraged by his wife Rubina Dilaik. Speaking to Telly Talk, she said, “Saari baatein maine Abhinav ko clear kari thi ki, ‘Sab log aapko boring kehte hai, aapka photo phaadte hai. Main aapko interesting banana chahti hoon, toh chalo, aaj se humara love-lapata shuru hoga.’ Maine Rubina ko bola tha, ‘Dekho, kaise main tumhare husband ko love-lapata karke angle change karti hoon.’ Unhone bola, ‘Please le jao. Do something, at least yeh boring ka tag toh nikle’ (I told Abhinav that everyone is calling him boring, tearing his photographs. I said that I wanted to make him interesting and proposed a romantic angle. I told Rubina that I wanted to change his image with the romance angle. She said, ‘Please take him. Do something, at least get rid of this boring tag’).”

Rakhi also mentioned that she started her ‘love angle’ with him and gave him immunity. She also alleged that people started brainwashing Rubina, by saying that Rakhi’s romance with her husband Abhinav is getting more attention and is loved by fans, which annoyed her.

Rakhi, entered the Bigg Boss 14 house during the mid-season finale as a challenger, and she became the top five. But later, Rakhi chose to walk out of the show with ₹14 lakh.
