OTT queen Radhika Apte is known for her bold movie choices and extraordinary performances. In a recent interview with Grazia magazine the actress confessed that she felt exploited on Ram Gopal Varma's Rakta Charitra's sets.
As per the reports, the actress de-glammed herself to play the role of a village girl. But Apte said that she felt exploited on the sets.
Speaking to the magazine, she said, "I was unsure if I wanted to do the film. I felt exploited because I was not getting paid much."
"They told me I will be doing one film, but then made me shoot in Tamil and Telugu as well. So I was like, this is a lot of work and commitment. I felt my time and talent wasn't being optimised."
The actress also said that the film had big actors and would the shoot would never start on time. She further added that it made her question her career.
She is a big Ram Gopal Varma fan and was looking forward to working with him. She realised the value of her time and talent and learned to put her foot down.Rakta Charitra was a 2010 Indian political thriller based on the life of Paritala Ravindra.
