Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter and said that Akshay Kumar called her to praise after watching the Thalaivi trailer. Kangana also said that she got many secret calls from Bollywood celebs.
After the release of Thalaivi's trailer, Kangana Ranaut is flying high with the responses she received from audiences and critics. According to her, many Bollywood celebs have called to appreciate her performance in the film. A few people like Ram Gopal Varma, Samantha Akkineni, and Juhi Chawla had showered praise.
Last night, Kangana tweeted that Akshay Kumar made secret calls and sent her congratulatory messages to praise the Thalaivi clip. She also mentioned that Bollywood people couldn't praise her openly just how they laud Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone movies.
“Bollywood is so hostile that even to praise me can get people in trouble, I have got many secret calls and messages even from big stars like @akshaykumar they praised @Thalaivithefilm trailer to sky but unlike Alia and Deepika films they can’t openly praise it. Movie mafia terror,” Kangana tweeted.
In the second tweet, Kangana said "Wish an industry of art can be objective when it comes to art, and not indulge in power play and politics when it comes to cinema, my political views and spirituality should not make me a target of bullying, harassment and isolation but if they do, then obviously I will win."
The film Thalaivi will show the struggle and success of the late former chief minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa.
The trilingual film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on April 23. The film also features Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj, Madhoo and Bhagyashree in key roles.
