Jacqueline Fernandez to support nutritional needs of 2 villages in Maharashtra
Jacqueline Fernandez adopted two villages in Maharashtra - Pathardi and Sakur - for three years.
Jacqueline Fernandez has partnered with Action Against Hunger Foundation to support the nutritional needs of villagers in Maharashtra.
Jacqueline has adopted two Maharashtra villages - Pathardi and Sakur. She will take care of the nutritional requirements of the villagers, many of whom are malnourished.
Almost 1,550 people will be looked after as a part of this project. People from the villages, including caregivers and children, will be screened for malnutrition.
In the project, an awareness session will be held for the people. The actress added that this project will provide information and support to 150 women and enable them to take care of new-borns, and seven frontline workers will be given training and on-the-job assistance
Along with this, even kitchen gardens will be grown in the village. All of this will be done ensuring all the safety guidelines are followed and no one suffers or dies due to starvation or lack of nutrition.
