Shah Rukh Khan in a throwback interview openly regretted removing Aishwarya Rai from any hit films, read on.
Aishwarya Rai and Shah Rukh Khan have an amazing friendship now. The duo has worked in many films in the past and their on-screen chemistry was loved by the fans. They even played brother-sister in the film Josh and it was a hit. But do you know Aish was removed from many films because of Shah Rukh Khan, that includes Veer Zara?
Back then Aishwarya Rai on Simi Grewal's Chat show admitted that Shah Rukh was responsible for her exit from five films that also had Veer Zara on the list.
During the conversation, when she was asked despite great chemistry why was she removed?, Aishwarya said, "How can I have the answer to that?. Yes at that time, there were a couple of films that we were supposed to work on together. And then suddenly they weren't happening without any explanation whatsoever. I have never had the answer to why."
When she was told by Simi that Shahrukh had expressed his regret in an interview, and said that it was because he became involved in her personal life, which he admitted he shouldn't have. "I don't have the answer to that," adding to it she said, it was not her decision to leave the films.
SRK in an old interview with India Today in 2003 had said, "Starting a project with someone and then changing them for no fault of hers is very difficult. It is very sad as Aish is a good friend. Personally, I think I did wrong. But as a producer it made sense. I apologised to Aish."
The two were last seen together in Ae Dil Hain Mushkil.
