On Tuesday, international pop star Rihanna became the first global name to voice her support to the ongoing farmer's agitation. The singer, who has over 100 million followers on Twitter, shared a CNN news article headlined, "India cuts internet around New Delhi as protesting farmers clash with police. Why aren't we talking about this? #FarmersProtest," Rihanna wrote.
 

Since then many Indians, including numerous celebrities, have criticised Rihanna for the same, while others have supported the American. Some have started Googling facts and info about the singer, and commenting on her past.

The singer said to have got the tattoo done on her hips by New York artist BangBang. However, Australian Sanskrit specialist Mark Fielden alleged that the text is incorrectly written.

"Rihanna’s tattoo inspired by the holy text of Gita is incorrectly written", claims an Aussie expert. According to Fielden, the script means “forgiveness, honesty, suppression and control”, is spelt incorrect.
