Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan's love-story: Here's her last words to the superstar
Post bitter break-up, Aishwarya Rai vouched never to work with Salman Khan again
Aishwarya Rai's personal and professional lives are very difficult to hide from the media and public; her news always creates a stir in the entertainment field.
Salman and Aishwarya worked in one of Bollywood's most iconic movies, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who showcased a beautiful love story.
Since then, their relationship started blooming, but within two years, they ended it all on a very bitter note. In an interview, Aishwarya Rai had alleged that Salman had physically and emotionally abused her.
In an old interview of Aishwarya, she vouched that she would never work with Salman again. In 2004, when Aishwarya was promoting her first Hollywood film, Bride and Prejudice, rumours were widespread that the actress will soon be seen in a movie featuring Salman Khan.
When Aishwarya learned about the news, she reacted furiously and had refuted all the rumours of working with Salman. She had told media, "Working with Salman is out of the question. And you can quote me on that! When I issued that statement ending my association with him, I was in the hospital with a fractured foot."
She added, "I wrote that statement from my hospital bed where I had lots of time to think about what I was doing. I am not the kind of person who would reverse her decision to suit her purposes. The question of going back on my words just does not arise."
Aishwarya further added, "Come on! I let go of the chance of working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali to stand by my convictions. Why would I change my mind for a lesser film?"
