Nevertheless, things did not go according to his plans in the currently suspended IPL 2021. In the seven games played so far, he could manage just four at an economy of 8.26.
However, despite his rough patch, it does not seem that his relationship with skipper Virat Kohli has taken a toll. Recently, Chahal's dancer wife, Dhanashree Verma, shared a picture of hers and Chahal along with Kohli from their IPL 2021 days as they pose happily for the camera.
"This ones with the skipper & spinner 🤙🏻❤️ From fun breakfast conversations to post-match fun, everything was so delightful and a great exchange of knowledge 💪🏻 #ayeayecaptain," Dhanashree captioned it.
In the meantime, Chahal also shared a picture of his playtime with his two dogs at home. "100th attempt and finally, I have a proper pic with my Groot & Scotty ❤️🐶 #wecantcalmdown we are ScottyGroot 🐾," he captioned.
Chahal has been demoted in the BCCI's Annual Player Contract. However, he would look to rise the ranks again as he is likely to be selected for the limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka in July.
