The pair of Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah managed an unbeaten stand of 89 for the ninth wicket. Consequently:
- It was the best ninth-wicket partnership for India in England and overseas, going past the previous best of 66 between Kapil Dev and Madan Lal here in 1982 and Kiran More-V Raju's 77 in Melbourne, 1991.
- Furthermore, it was the first time in this century that the number nine and ten batsmen for India scored 25-plus each in a Test outside Asia.

- Lord's has become India join second-most successful Test venue, along with Port of Spain, Kingston and SSC (Colombo), with three wins, while Melbourne remains the best with four.
- India took the second least overs to get rid of a side in the final innings outside Asia (51.5), while the least happens to be 26.5 against the Windies in 2019.

It was England's 33rd Test loss at Lord's. Meanwhile, England has become the side with most Test losses at a venue, going past Australia's 32 in Melbourne.

Bein put to bat, India was shot out for 364, while England could manage 391. In the second innings, India fought back despite a shaky start and scored 298/8, handing England a target of 272. However, the Indian bowlers were too good, dismissing the host for 120 and winning by 151 runs.
