Batsmen The department has to start with the best batsman in the world, skipper Virat Kohli. Although he was a flop throughout the Tests and the opening T20I, he magically sprung back to form thereon. He finished as the highest run-scorer, scoring 231 runs in the five innings at a bradmansque average of 115.50, including three half-centuries. Kohli was duly supported by Shreyas Iyer, finished as the second-highest, while senior opener Rohit Sharma was placed third. Nonetheless, it is worth mentioning the performances of debutants Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 89 and 60 in a couple of innings, respectively.
