As far as Team India is concerned, it has had a poor performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, being held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It has lost its initial two games against Pakistan and New Zealand, as it stares at an early exit, while it is in a must-win situation in its remaining three matches.

Consequently, most Indians have failed to fire in the tournament so far, while they have slipped in the ICC T20I Rankings of late. However, there is one Indian who has displayed resilience and fighting spirit in the matches of late, which happens to be pacer Jasprit Bumrah. As a result, he has scaled the rankings, rising ten places to be jointly placed in the 24th spot along with Fabian Allen of Windies.
