Virat Kohli
The ‘Punjabi’ boy who was tempted to ‘Chole Bhature’ in the streets of Delhi is now one of the fittest athletes that the world has seen. Even Kohli took to a core protein-rich diet when he started his extensive fitness sessions in 2014 but gradually gave up all the non-vegetarian food. Despite Butter Chicken being his favorite food, he gradually shifted to a vegetarian diet without an iota of compromise on his fitness and strength level. Today he is an ardent follower of the vegan diet and is seen bubbling with energy both on and off-field, and is a fitness model for millions.
Rohit Sharma
The associate of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma is a terrific right-handed opening batsman for India. The current vice-captain in ODI’s is quite a foodie. He is a vegetarian and likes to eat eggs.
Ishant Sharma
The star seam pacer of India’s Test team has come up stronger in his later career. He used to be a die-hard chicken lover in his younger days and even reiterated that he regularly ate the chicken roll during his U-19 cricket career. However, of late he has been strictly following a vegetarian diet to maintain his fitness levels.
Cheteshwar Pujara
‘Mr Dependent’ for India in Tests, the right-handed batsman Cheteshwar Pujara is a pure vegetarian. He is even quite selective in his fooding habits away from the spicy food.
Shikhar Dhawan
Known as ‘Gabbar’, he is a prolific left-hand opener of the Indian team. He used to eat non-vegetarian food till 2018 and thereafter switched to the vegetarian diet. He told this in the famous show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ hosted by Rajat Sharma and highlighted that realizing the negative energy from the non-veg food, he gave up on it.
Yuzvendra Chahal
The deceptive Indian leg-spinner is quite famous for the sizzling activities he brings on the field and in the dressing room. Like many other Indian cricketers, Chahal was also a non-vegetarian and loved butter chicken. However during a live session with Indian television presenter and film actress Archana Puran Singh he revealed that he has turned vegetarian.
Ravichandran Ashwin
The wristy off-spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin now plays only Test cricket for India. A vegetarian right from his childhood, he started to eat egg and chicken as per his nutritionist advice. However, he couldn't continue eating chicken but he still eats eggs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Kumar is a silent player and does the magic on the field. The right-arm pacer is known for his unplayable swing. From the very start, he followed a strict vegetarian diet plan with only vegetables.
