Hardik Pandya is a renowned all-rounder in Indian cricket currently, while he is also famous for being married to Serbia-based Bollywood actress Natasa Stankovic. Shane Warne is an Australian spin legend, having claimed 700 Test wickets, as he has had a number of affairs.
Very few sports on earth happen to be gentlemen's sport. And, cricket is one of them. Consequently, the cricketers playing the sport are often referred to as gentlemen. However, every gentleman has his dark side.
While some are notorious outside the cricketing field, some happen to live a funky lifestyle. From consuming alcohol to smoking, some do it all. In the same light, we take a look at some of the prominent cricketers, who were caught smoking, which is somewhat considered a taboo in a few societies.
Shane Warne: Be it any controversial topic surrounding the sport, the legendary Australian spinner does not miss out on featuring in it. From having numerous affairs to drinking alcohol, Warne happens to be a smoker too. He has been spotted doing that on numerous occasions, be it in public or even the dressing room, he just loves to smoke it out.
Aaron Finch: Another Australian in the list, and he happens to be the lastest one. It is during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), when during a match for his side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), he was spotted vaping inside the dressing room, following his dismissal. Finch has been in a mediocre form this season, having scored 205 runs in nine innings at an average of 22.77.
Sir Ian Botham: The Englishmen too are not far behind, and one of the famous ones from the side, who happened to be a hardcore smoker, is the legendary all-rounder Sir Ian Botham. Botham has been caught smoking on numerous occasions, inside dressing rooms to hotels, and even while relaxing in the bath-tub. Wow!
Chris Gayle: The 'Univers Boss' might be a deadly batsman on the field, but he is famous for his offbeat nature and fun-loving character. While he too loves to hang around with women, he has been spotted blowing the smoke on some occasions, especially during parties. Well, who doesn't love to chill out at parties? Can't really blame him.
Hardik Pandya: Among the Indian cricketers, notable all-rounder Hardik Pandya makes the list. While he is rarely seen smoking, it was during the birthday party of MS Dhoni's wife, Sakshi, Pandya was seen vaping or smoking in a video shared from the party. Again, can't really blame a party-man.
