Twitter erupted hailing praises for Suryakaumar Yadav following his match-winning knock. The fans again requisitioned as they tagged the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and selectors who did not offer him a place in the squad for the upcoming Australia tour.
Match 48 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 saw Mumbai Indians (MI) win by five wickets, as the swashbuckling batsman Suryakumar Yadav solely shouldered a significant responsibility with the bat.
Amid the unstable MI batting order, Yadav smashed 79 runs off 43 balls. In his stunning innings where he went unbeaten, he smashed three sixes and 10 fours, as he had a strike-rate of 184.
His power-packed performance came in at a perfect time. just when he was dropped by the selectors from the upcoming Australia tour.
Selectors, who were bashed by the fans and critiqued by the veterans, for having denied Yadav a spot in the playing squad, received a silent tight slap, following yet another fine match-winning innings from him.
