Taking time off his busy schedule, he visited a cancer rehabilitation centre at Sreekaryam where he met an elderly inmate Subhadra.
A video was posted on social media by Thiruvananthapuram-based-journalist Syed Shiyaz Mirza on 18 February where she requested Mohanlal to visit their centre. This is what she requested “Dear Mohanlal, I’m a big fan of you. Will you pay me visit?” It was Subhadra’s longtime wish to meet Mohanlal in person.
Acknowledging to the request, Mohanlal on Sunday gave Subhadra and the coinmates a pleasant surprise by visiting them.
The video footage of 83-year-old Subhadra’s request had widely discussed on social media platforms. According to the reports, she has been undergoing treatment for cancer for many years.
In the video, Subhadra says, ''Dear Mohanlal, I like you so much. There are many more grannies like me here. When you come to your house in Thiruvananthapuram, please do come and visit us.”

Mohanlal shared his photos with Subhadra on his Facebook page and wrote, "Happened to see a video of this Amma in which she expressed her wish to meet me in person. Today morning I visited her and got to spend some time with her (sic)".
We all are touched by this kind gesture from Mohanlal.
