Legendary Actor Soumitra Chaterjee's health condition worsened. The doctors said that the actor's health is still in high-risk zone. The 85 year actor was tested COVID 19 positive and his fever continous to be in an ambigious state which is a matter of worry, as per the doctors.

Soumitra was admitted to the hospital in Kolkata on October 6 after he was tested positive for coronavirus. He was even given plasma therapy twice on Saturday and he also went under a CT Scan.

Top government doctors were deputed by Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee to give the best plasma therapy to the veteran actor. He was doing well when admitted but his condition worsened on Friday, October 9 and he was put on oxygen support.

On October 9, his daughter Poulomi Banerjee informed, her father is suffering from COVID encephalopathy. One of the doctor's informed that the actor had a good sleep last night (Sunday) but is still in a high risk zone and his oxygen saturation level has improved.
